
Menopause Type® Eleven is associated decreased estrogen function, decreased progesterone function, and decreased testosterone function. Health risks associated with Menopause Type® Eleven may include vulvar disorders, decreased muscle mass, depression, osteoporosis and heart disease, including angina pectoralis (chest pain). Since estradiol deficiency can affect blood glucose metabolism, there is also increased risk of insulin resistance and blood sugar disorders. Risks associated with insulin resistance include increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and some cancers.
Determination of this menopause type® is made through the use of the Menopause Type® Questionnaire, and/or lab tests.
