Menopause Type® Six has symptoms that reveal decreased estradiol function, excessive testosterone function, with adequate progesterone. Health risks associated with Menopause Type® Six may include heart disease. Since estradiol deficiency and excessive testosterone both play important roles in blood glucose metabolism, there is also increased risk of insulin resistance and blood sugar disorders. Risks associated with insulin resistance include increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and endometrial cancer.
Determination of this menopause type® is made through the use of the Menopause Type® Questionnaire, and/or lab tests.
