Menopause Type® Three has symptoms that reveal adequate estradiol and progesterone function, but excessive testosterone function. Health risks associated with Menopause Type® Three may include blood sugar and insulin problems (insulin resistance), increased risk of endometrial cancer and heart disease. Because of the excessive testosterone function, it is possible that there may be a few symptoms of suboptimal estrogen or progesterone function. Once excessive testosterone function is back to normal function, any minor symptoms of suboptimal estrogen or progesterone are usually rapidly corrected.
Determination of this menopause type® is made through the use of the Menopause Type® Questionnaire, and/or lab tests.
